These are not competitors. Rally Mechanic Simulator is hands-on: you are under the car with a time limit, sourcing parts and putting a damaged rally car back together between events. Rally Dynasty is the desk above that garage: you decide who fixes it, with what money, and whether the entry was worth taking in the first place.
| Rally Mechanic Simulator | Rally Dynasty | |
|---|---|---|
| Your job | Mechanic. You do the work yourself, part by part | Team principal. You never turn a spanner; you decide what gets done and what it costs |
| Camera | First person, in a garage, with the car in front of you | Tables, ledgers and stage times. No cockpit, no garage bay, no handling model |
| The clock | Real pressure: get the car back together before the next timed segment | Calendar pressure: weeks between rounds, a repair that takes overnight or a week, and the entry list closing |
| Money | Funds for parts, upgrades and the garage | Every figure stated: entry fees, start money, travel, spares, wages, debt |
| People | Largely you and the car | Drivers, co-drivers, mechanics and engineers who age, get hired away, retire and die |
| Era | Contemporary rallying | 1973-2026, then designed future seasons, with the rules changing on their real dates |

Texture. Knowing a rally car because you have taken one apart is a different kind of knowledge from reading a parts ledger, and no management game substitutes for it. If the appeal is the smell of the workshop, that is the game.
The event choice you already recognise. It does put the calendar in front of you: pick an event, then prepare the car for that surface with the parts and money you have. That is a small, real version of the decision Rally Dynasty makes the whole game out of, and it is the reason the two audiences overlap.
It is finished. You can buy it, and it works.
| Play Rally Mechanic Simulator if | You want to work on the car; you enjoy the mechanic-simulator loop; you want something released and self-contained; the appeal is the object rather than the operation. |
|---|---|
| Play Rally Dynasty if | You want the business around the car; you would rather choose the entry than fit the strut; you want a career that runs for decades and outlives the people in it. And you can wait. |
| Neither, if | You wanted to drive. Both of these keep you out of the seat. Buy a rally game instead: the ranked guide names the good ones. |

Rally Dynasty is a rally management game by an independent developer, starting in 1973 and rolling on past today. You run one family team through five regulation eras: hiring drivers, building cars, managing exact money and real time. Heirs inherit the team when a driver retires or dies. It is unofficial and unlicensed, in the spirit of the classic World Rally Championship decades. Platforms: PC (web/Steam) and Android.
