Motorsport Manager is circuit racing: you build a single-seater or GT team, develop a car and manage a race live, lap by lap. Rally Dynasty is rally: no live race to conduct, a stage-by-stage weekend instead, a calendar you assemble yourself, half a century of changing regulations, and a team that outlives the driver who founded it.
| Motorsport Manager | Rally Dynasty | |
|---|---|---|
| Sport | Circuit: single-seaters, GT and endurance across a tiered ladder | Rally: special stages on gravel, tarmac, snow and open road |
| Race day | Live, and the best part of the game: tyres, fuel, pit windows, weather, the call you make one lap late | No live race. A weekend is legs and stages: setup, tyre and note decisions, then times arriving |
| Calendar | Handed to you by the championship you are in | Built by you from a global calendar: entry fees, start money, date clashes and travel are the decision |
| Timespan | A contemporary, fictionalised motorsport world; rules are stable | 1973-2026 in the main campaign, then designed future seasons |
| Rule changes | Occasional in-fiction regulation shifts | The premise. Homologation, tyres, service, recce, road order and scoring all move under you, on their real dates |
| Career length | As long as you keep a seat | 54 seasons and onward: the career survives its founder |
| Succession | None. You are a manager who does not age out | Drivers age, retire, are hurt and are killed; heirs inherit the team, its debts and its titles |
| Money | Budgets, sponsors, part manufacture, facility upgrades | Stated to the figure. Entry fees, travel, spares, wages, and a ledger you can read line by line |
| Risk | Crashes cost cars, points and money | Danger is described in words, never as a percentage. Death and injury are modelled and stated plainly |
| Platforms | PC and Mac; a separate, long-running mobile line | PC (web/Steam) and Android, phone-first; offline on Android and Steam |
| Status | Released 2016; rights returned to Playsport in February 2026; a sequel announced for 2027 | Not on sale yet. Dated 15 October 2026 on Steam, $12.99.Up for wishlists on Steam; out 15 October 2026, $12.99.On Steam, $12.99, with a free demo in the browser. |
The race itself. Conducting a race in real time, reading a rival's strategy, pitting a lap early, watching a tyre go off, is a genuine skill loop, and rally does not have an equivalent. A rally crew leaves at a start line alone and comes back with a time. There is no pit wall to sit on, so Rally Dynasty does not pretend to give you one.
Finish, polish and a decade of iteration. Ten years of patches, a large mod scene, and a mobile version many people prefer to the desktop game. A new game, this one included, does not compete with that.
It exists. The strongest argument for Motorsport Manager is that you can be playing it in five minutes.
| Play Motorsport Manager if | You want to run a race, not just a season; you like circuit racing; you want something finished, patched and modded tonight; you play on a commute and want the mobile version. |
|---|---|
| Play Rally Dynasty if | You want rally specifically; you want to choose which events you can afford; you want a career measured in decades and generations rather than seasons; you find a rule change more interesting than a pit stop. And you can wait. |
| Play both if | You are the sort of person who has opinions about Group B and about undercuts. There is no overlap to be jealous of: one is a race, the other is a road. |

Rally Dynasty is a rally management game by an independent developer, starting in 1973 and rolling on past today. You run one family team through five regulation eras: hiring drivers, building cars, managing exact money and real time. Heirs inherit the team when a driver retires or dies. It is unofficial and unlicensed, in the spirit of the classic World Rally Championship decades. Platforms: PC (web/Steam) and Android.
